Just got my computer back.

Amazing, how quickly it got fixed. The DVD drive in it died on me. It is still under its 3-year warranty. So, on Monday (yes, the day before yesterday) I sent it via Airborne Express (now DHL, I guess) to Texas. There, it got examined, a new drive was installed and tested, then the thing was shipped back and delivered to me this morning. Less than 48 hours later!

Amazing.

And the DVD works. Which is kind of nice.
